Our 25th Anniversary Year: 2020-21!
CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF BRATTLEBORO WOMEN’S CHORUS
On the 25th day of most months, October through May, we’ll have singing gatherings, sometimes with guest song-leaders to help celebrate 25 years of being a chorus. Held on Zoom, these events will be free for registered singers and their households; we will welcome others by donation.
VIRTUAL CELEBRATION SING:
Monday, January 25 from 7-8:15 pm on Zoom
In September of 1996, Becky Graber hosted a Wednesday night rehearsal at KidsPLAYce, the play center where her husband Tim Ellis was the director. She imagined she would gather a small group of women and girls to sing together through the fall; but people kept coming, and by November, they outgrew KidsPLAYce. There were more than 60 singers meeting each week in the music room at Oak Grove School, and the group held their first concert in an ice storm in December (an event which led to the concerts being held in November in following years)!
This year, the Brattleboro Women’s Chorus celebrates our 25 years of singing with online musical events on the 25th day of the month through May. All are welcome to join us in song.
Our next online singing event celebrating 25 years of the BWC will take place on Monday, January 25 from 7-8:15 pm on Zoom.
